Watford Control are delighted to have been declared a finalist in the Northamptonshire Business Awards 2019 under the category of Exporter of the Year. The company has fought off competition from other businesses to progress to the final stage of judging, which will take place later this month, with the award winners being announced at a prestigious ceremony on 5th September in Northampton.
According to the Northants Chamber, who organise the event, the award “recognises the strength of Britain’s international businesses with entrants standing out from the crowd on the international stage […] demonstrating that they have generated significant and/or sustained increases in their export and/or import activity”.
Watford Control have over 70 years of continuous manufacturing in the United Kingdom and owing to the company’s export prowess have shipped over 10,000+ products worldwide in that time.
Mark Massetti, Managing Director of Watford Control, said:
“We are thrilled to have been recognised as a leading export business. We have a long history of exporting our range of voltage control equipment, such as voltage stabilisers and power conditioning equipment, and in the time that the business has been operational, our products have been sent all over the world and used by a wide variety of industries and sectors including NGOs and aid agencies, government departments, medical, finance, manufacturing and military.
“Winning this award would be an honour, however, making it through to the finalist stage is an accolade for the business. We would like to wish all companies progressing in the awards, across all categories, the best of luck and we look forward to meeting our contemporaries in September”.
